Today I vowed that I would only have optimistic thoughts. And surprisingly it's pretty much working. It's like a breath of fresh air. I don't know if it's because of my thoughts, or because I think it's because of my thoughts, or it's actually happening---but I'm having a pretty good day.
This morning my IB art class and I were all sitting around and talking with one another when "please stand for the pledge of allegiance" came on over the announcements. We all just kind of sat there until Kayt said, "Would it be disrespectful if we remained seated?" and I replied by saying, "Not if we salute."
So we all sat there and saluted the flag during the pledge.
It was a glorious moment.
